MENTOR, Minn.-Boaters on Maple Lake were uninjured after being rescued from a burning boat on the Polk County lake Saturday.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said it received a report of a boat on fire on the lake, about 2 miles south of Mentor. The agency had a patrol boat on the lake, which responded and extinguished the flames.

Passengers on the burning boat were brought aboard the patrol boat and brought to shore, where their boat was also towed.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.
