Several building projects on UND's campus are currently underway.
The largest project, a new $124 million, 325,000-square-foot, four-story structure to house the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is still under construction. The building is slated to be completed in 2016.
UND Law School spokesman Rob Carolin said the school's $11.4 million renovation and addition project is on time and on budget. The school also was given the green light in April to raise an additional $2.5 million in private funds to go toward more collaborative learning spaces and multipurpose classrooms within the building.
The law school's new exterior wall was closed off in December and the whole renovation is set to be completed this coming fall.
The UND Athletics High Performance Center also is still under construction east of Memorial Stadium. The building is still in the $13 million first phase of construction and work on the interior will begin shortly, UND spokesman Peter Johnson said in an email.
That phase is slated to be completed this summer and the second phase, which according to UND's website will involve completing weight rooms, concessions, locker areas, class and meeting rooms and an athletic medicine area, is contingent upon acquiring private funding.
Wilkerson Hall, the hub of UND's Dining Services, also is being renovated. The $29 million project will include a patio, amphitheater and large windows. The renovation is projected to be finished this coming fall.
