Two men were in custody on meth and firearm-related charges Friday night, Dec. 6, after barricading themselves in the basement of an East Grand Forks home while police served a search warrant.
Around 4 p.m. local law officers and the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force searched a home on the 600 block of 10th Street Northwest, according to East Grand Forks police.
When officers entered the home, two suspects inside barricaded themselves in the basement and refused to come out, police said. One said he had a gun.
A large police presence could be seen in the area just after 4 p.m., including the Grand Forks Regional SWAT team. Officers and Minnesota state troopers blocked off streets and asked nearby residents to shelter in place as they tried to reach the men and arrest them.
After negotiating with officers, both men surrendered and were taken into custody without incident just after 4:30 p.m. Gregory Lee Boulduc, 60, and Bradley Arlen Boulduc, 51, were arrested on firearm and meth charges, according to East Grand Forks Chief of Police Michael Hedlund, who said they would be taken to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston.

Formal charges are expected to be filed Monday, Dec. 9, police said.
