We miss you!
I mean we really miss you! … All of us kids and grandkids, and great-grandkids … even the great-great-grandkids! This whole crazy bunch that you produced so many years ago, miss you terribly!
We know the past couple of months have been challenging because you can’t receive visitors and we can’t pick you up for Sunday dinners, or for church, or even for important events such as confirmations.
So we wanted to take a moment to say: “We love you!” … Did you hear that, Mom? That was all 70 or so of us shouting: “We love you!” in unison from Minnesota to Michigan to Georgia and beyond.
We love you for the random phone calls we receive when you are trying to dial our brother or sister. We love you for the touching cards you send us, even when we forget to do the same for you! We love that you are taking this time to color pictures up a storm for all of us to decorate our offices and refrigerators! … And we love that when we call you, you give us the updates from everyone else’s phone calls too!
We can’t wait for the day that we get to visit you in person again, and to give you a big ol’ hug. But, meanwhile we are very appreciative for the care that you are receiving from the staff at The Summit. Please pass along to them that we are deeply grateful for taking care of the woman who means the world to us!
We’ll see you in person very soon, Mom! … Meanwhile, you keep coloring those pictures for us, and collecting those family stories to share with us. And we’ll keep sending the care packages!
Remember, we love you! … Love, your family!
