"Let's Do Lunch," a luncheon in honor of women that will include awards and a performance piece about workers' safety rights, is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the UND Memorial Union River Valley Room.
The event will have two parts, and attendees can go to one or both events. Lunch is free to the first 100 who RSVP by calling Dorothy Jerik at the UND Department of Criminal Justice, (701) 777-2066.
The awards ceremony and workplace issues presentation is set for 11 a.m. to noon, with a performance piece and informational lecture by Kathy Coudle-King from noon to 1 p.m.
At the awards ceremony, Sandra Donaldson, a Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences' Department of English and an affiliate of the women's studies program, will be honored as the recipient of the PAC-W Book Award. PAC-W is the UND President's Advisory Council on Women.
The 2010 Womens Studies Essay Contest winners also will be honored, followed by a short presentation on findings from the most recent PAC-W sponsored Campus Climate Survey.

Coudle-King's performance piece is called "Do Not Take Your Rights for Granted: Remembering the Blaze that Woke the Nation."
