Carrying her leftovers from lunch, Brittney Blake of Grand Forks was in a hurry to get back to work. Wearing dark slacks, a blue and white striped button down and a caramel blazer, she was sporting the perfect modern, business-casual look for her job as a law clerk in downtown Grand Forks.
Blake's all gold accessories -- which included earrings, a long knot necklace and a belt -- gave her look a sophisticated finish.

"I would describe it as modern, business casual."

"Macy's. Nordstroms. Express. I'll a give a shout out to Kittson and Third because my girlfriend owns it."
• How do you accessorize?
"I like to make sure ... that it matches, like if I'm wearing gold earrings, I'm wearing a gold belt."
• What fall trend are you excited about?
"Eggplant. I hear that's what's in."
• What item are you currently craving, whether it's clothes or accessories?
"I need a new pair of brown boots, no, caramel boots."
