The discovery of a number of farm implements believed to be stolen has led to the arrest of a rural Manvel, N.D., man.

Rodney Ray Chisholm, 45, was arrested Friday after deputies found in his possession two skid-steer loaders, 10 buckets for skid-steer loaders, several utility trailers, a hay binder, an all-terrain vehicle and numerous hand tools, the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

The items were seized during searches of a home in rural Manvel and a property in rural Mekinock, N.D. At both locations, search warrants were served on Chisholm.

The items recovered had been reported stolen within the past few years in Grand Forks, Cass and Walsh counties in North Dakota and in Marshall and Polk counties in Minnesota. Serial and model numbers on the items reportedly had been removed.

The department says the investigation into this case remains open and may result in more charges.
