Protect makeup compacts with cotton balls, pads

FARGO – I cursed my klutziness when I knocked my $30 Origins pressed powder off my dresser.

The silky powder perfectly matched to my skin tone cracked and crumbled into dozens of little pieces after tumbling to the floor.

I wish I’d come across this compact-protecting tip before my Silk Screen met its early demise:

To prevent pressed powder, bronzer and cake eye shadow from cracking, add a cotton ball or pad to the compact.
