The East Grand Forks Swimming Pool reopened Monday, Aug. 10, after being closed for a week. The facility is operating under its normal hours.
The pool was closed Aug. 3 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. All close contacts of the employee were then tested and all results were negative, a city employee said Monday.
The pool deck area, chairs and locker rooms are sanitized daily at opening, closing and a mid-day break.
The pool water is treated, officials say, so it poses no risk for potential spread of COVID-19.
Patrons are required to wear masks when in line to enter the pool building, inside the building and anytime social distancing cannot take place.
The pool is open through Aug. 23.
