Girl Scout cookie season is almost here.

Cookie sales in the region begin Feb. 21 and will continue until March 23.

This year the Girl Scouts have launched a new flavor named 'Lemon-Ups' so we asked columnist Marilyn Hagerty to give us her official review of the new flavor.

"There is a nice taste of lemon in the cookie," reports Hagerty.

A press release form the Girl Scouts said the 'Lemon-Ups' are a crispy lemon cookie baked with messages inspired by Girl Scout cookie entrepreneurs. "I am a go-getter” and “I am an innovator” are among the eight phrases that bring the experience of Girl Scouting to life.

The cookie Hagerty tasted had "I am strong" baked into it.
