GF church to hold THRIVE meeting
THRIVE North Dakota is billed as a large and unique Christian conference that will blend "heart, head and humor," featuring speakers from the huge multi-site Bayside Church near Sacramento, Calif., as well as local Christian leaders from various congregations to be held Oct. 15-16 in Hope Evangelical Covenant Church, 1601 17th Ave. S., Grand Forks.
"They have done this conference in Belfast, in London, in San Diego," said the Rev. Paul Knight, pastor of Hope. "And in Grand Forks, N.D."
The goal is to inspire and inform pastors, lay leaders and lay members. The cost is $49.

Rosary rally slated for downtown
A "Public Square Rosary Crusade" will be held at noon Oct. 16 in the Town Square downtown at DeMers Avenue and Third Street. It's part of a national effort to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of apparitions of Mary in Portugal as a way to combat secularism, local organizer Larry Lindgren said. GF event blends football, faith
Faith and football get on the same team in a men's fellowship time each Sunday night in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S.
