A Grand Forks organization working to provide crisis and support services to victims of violence has received a matching grant.

The Community Violence Intervention Center received a $5,000 match grant from Dakota Medical Foundation to supports its Light of Hope program, according to a news release Thursday.

The grant will help stabilize the center's budget following funding cuts it received earlier this year, the release said.

The Light of Hope program provides a long-term support for adults and children impacted by family violence, sexual assault/abuse and child abuse.

All services provided by CVIC are free and confidential. For more information, call (701) 746-0405 or visit www.cviconline.org.
