3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 cups flaked whole wheat cereal or bran flakes cereal

1 cup dried fruit such as raisins, pineapple, mango, coconut, apricots and/or cranberries

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spread oats, almonds in even layer on large jelly roll pan. Bake 8 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven, reduce temperature to 325 degrees. Combine honey, butter, cinnamon in large bowl. Add warm oats, almonds. Toss well. Mix in flaked cereal. Return mixture to pan, spreading in even layer. Bake 16 to 18 minutes, until dry, golden brown. Immediately spread onto wax or parchment paper, cool completely. Break into bite-size pieces, toss with dried fruit. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to week. Serve as cereal with milk, snack or ice-cream topping.

Yield: 15 ½-cup servings.
