1 teaspoon vanilla

2½ cups flour

8 ¾-ounce milk chocolate bars

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter, sugar until light, fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla. Stir in flour. Use cookie press with saw-tooth plate to press half dough into strips onto ungreased cookie sheet. Place squares of chocolate ½ inch apart on strips, pressing lightly to secure. Press another strip of dough over candy to cover. Use table knife to make marks between chocolate pieces. Bake about 12 minutes, until set, lightly browned. Cut into pieces immediately where marked (cookies will break apart easily).

Yield: 6 dozen.
