WAG exhibits
New and ongoing: "The Baroque World of Fernando Botero," works by an internationally renowned Colombian artist who depicts the comedy of human life, will be exhibited through Feb. 27 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Eva Stubbs: "The Rough Ideal," works of Winnipeg artist Eva Stubbs that examine how history and memory shape human identity, will be exhibited through March 20 at WAG. Holiday home
Tuesday at Fire Hall: Fire Hall Theatre, downtown Grand Forks, will present "Home for the Holidays," a cabaret at 8 p.m. Tuesday filled with mainstay performers from Community Theatre and Crimson Creek who are home for the holiday season. It will feature Job Christenson, Darin Kerr, Debra Berger, Maura Ferguson, Tyler Rood, Natasha Yearwood Thomas, Teran Ferguson and more. Chris Berg, associate director of Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre said: "It's such a great opportunity to hear some of Grand Forks' best talent in one location. These are all people who have performed in the recent past who are returning to perform for the community." Christenson, for instance, will return from Chicago, where he performed in the musical "Billy Elliot." Berger is acting in Chicago, and Kerr is finishing up a doctorate in theater. Tickets: $15, $10 for season ticket holders; available at the door. Wine and light hors d'oeuvres be served.
