'Kiowa's War'
- 'The Big Read' final events: A panel discussion about "Kiowa's War: Indians in the Armed Services" will be at 4 today at UND Memorial Union River Valley Room, Grand Forks. Free and open to the public, it will be about positive and negative experiences of three American Indian veterans of the U.S. Armed Services, as compared with the character Kiowa from "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien. Dalton Bookseller in Grand Forks Columbia Mall, a news release said. On those days, the store will contribute a percentage of every sale made with a special book fair voucher to Friends of the Campbell Library. - Starting Nov. 15 at Pembina, N.D.: Effective Nov. 15, the revised winter schedule at Pembina State Museum will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays; the museum will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
