Open at World's Smallest Gallery: The 14th annual Mixed Media Exhibit has opened at the World's Smallest Gallery in the Urban Stampede, downtown Grand Forks, and will run through Jan. 10. Local artists Mary Middleton, Maria Thompson and Kelli Nelson are exhibiting there for the first time. Most works, including greeting cards, are for sale. Info: (701) 746-9531.
Exhibits at UND
Opening Monday: Two BFA exhibits of art will open Monday through Thursday at Col. Eugene F. Myers Gallery at the UND Hughes Fine Arts Center: "Epistemology" by Dreu Klosterman and "rise of the stupid" by Stephanie Mason. Both artists will have receptions from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the gallery. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday.

Photo exhibit
On display through Jan. 5: Photographer Mary M. Homan, an MFA graduate student at UND, will have works on display at Amazing Grains in downtown Grand Forks through Jan. 5. She has an associate of arts degree from Normandale College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Minnesota. She is interested in preserving art and works with UND's art collection and coordinates exhibits for the Col. Eugene Myers Gallery at UND Hughes Fine Arts Center. From her artist statement: "My real interest is to create images that capture timeless moments in the landscape of North Dakota, and if the land has been touched by man, to stimulate curiosity about how, when and why."
O'Donnell tickets
