If you're a fan of reality TV shows, or surprises in sealed boxes, an auction to be held Friday in Grand Forks may be right up your alley.
Followers of the show "Storage Wars" can get a local fix at an auction to be held at 10 a.m. the Mini Store All and then at the Kedney Moving Center.
More than 30 abandoned or forfeited storage units will be sold to the highest bidder, the Curt D. Johnson Auction Company said on its website.
As on the TV show, bidders are not allowed to rummage through the unit for valuables. Instead, the locks on the units will be cut in front of auction participants and units will be sold as seen.
There are no reserves or bid minimums. A $50 refundable cleaning deposit will be charged to the winning bidder. Once the unit is cleared of contents, the bidder will receive the deposit back.
