A Grand Forks man accused of shooting a TV with a .44 Magnum handgun got a six-month jail sentence as part of a plea agreement.
Daryl Lee Nikle, 56, pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless endangerment Monday in Grand Forks County District Court.
He will get credit for time served and will be able to spend the remainder of his sentence in work release or electronic home monitoring.
Just after 4 a.m. Oct. 2, Nikle warned three people at his home at 2207 Seventh Ave. N. that the TV was too loud and asked that it be turned down, according to a court affidavit. When it wasn't turned down, he fired his gun.
Grand Forks police said the shot hit the TV and the bullet went through the wall.
