Ballet company dances Friday at the Empire

"Lifescapes," a performance by the North Dakota Ballet Company that was postponed last month during the height of the flood threat, will be presented at 7:30 tonight at Empire Arts Center in Grand Forks.

Seventeen area men and women will perform a concert with a repertoire in modern, jazz and classical ballet. The company includes:

Nikki Anderson, Rachael Balaban, Briar Boyko, Kelli Bren, Laura Dvorak-Berry, Emily Burkland, Megan Demarais, Molly Des Roches, Brooke Erickson, Lauren Fischer, Ken Granle, Stephanie Gubbels, Courtney Hoversten, Andrea Polries, Erin Porter, Rebekah Sickels and Zack Sonntag.

Tickets are $15 at the door.

The concert will reflect a variety of life experiences, including relationships, self-reflection, seasons and personal journeys, a news release said. The event will include a silent auction beginning at 7 p.m. and will close following the production.

A post-concert reception will feature wine and appetizers.
