New in GF/EGF:

-"Alpha and Omega": Two wolves must restore peace in their pack after being relocated thousands of miles away by well-meaning park rangers. Quick-witted Humphrey (voice of Justin Long) likes to frolic and play video games with squirrels; disciplined Kate (voice of Hayden Panettiere) likes to call the shots and hunt caribou. They don't have anything in common. But by working for a common goal, the contentious traveling companions may finally realize that even lone wolves can use a helping paw once in a while. Animated. Voices: Christina Ricci, Danny Glover, Dennis Hopper, Larry Miller. Directors: Anthony Bell, Ben Gluck. (1:28) Rated PG for rude humor and some mild action.

-"Devil": Five strangers trapped in an elevator realize that one of them is the devil. The first installment of "The Night Chronicles," a series in which up-and-coming filmmakers bring to life stories conceived by M. Night Shyamalan, "Devil" starts as a typical day at the office, then suddenly detours as the elevator passengers discover the devil among them. As others work frantically to free them, the passengers realize their only hope for survival is to confront their darkest sins. Director: John E. Dowdle. (1:20) Rated PG-13 for violence and disturbing images, thematic material and some language including sexual references.

-"Easy A": Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter" is re-imagined as a contemporary high school comedy about a scheming student who plots to give her popularity a boost by painting herself the easiest most promiscuous girl in school. When Olive (Emma Stone) is asked about her weekend by her friend Rhiannon (Ally Michalka), Olive tells a spicy story that takes on a life of its own when it reaches gossip Marianne (Amanda Bynes). With Thomas Hayden Church, Lisa Kudrow, Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarkson, Dan Byrd. Director: Will Gluck. (1:31) Rated PG-13 for mature thematic elements involving teen sexuality, language and some drug material.

-"The Town": Boston bank robber Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) falls for a woman his gang once took hostage in an adaptation of Chuck Hogan's novel "Prince of Thieves." The son of a tough thief, Doug feigns a chance meeting with bank manager Claire (Rebecca Hall) to make sure she can't identify her former captors. Of Doug's fearless partners in crime, who are like a surrogate family to him, Jem (Jeremy Renner) is the most dangerous. But a divide begins to open between Doug and Jem after Jem takes Claire hostage during a heist. As the feds turn up the heat, Doug tries desperately to cut ties to his criminal past. (2:04) Rated R for strong violence, pervasive language, some sexuality and drug use.
