Plans for the annual Grand Cities Art Fest set for June 12-13 in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks are coming together with fine artists, high-quality crafters, unique food vendors and live entertainment on the banks of the Red River of the North.
Visitors to the event will find fun, functional, abstract, decorative, inspiring, wearable, tasty, thought-provoking and meaningful items, from paintings, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art and fine glass to woodwork, mixed media, photography and more, a news release from North Valley Arts Council said.
Art and food vendors will be on both sides of the river, in Grand Forks in Town Square and on the Greenway, and in East Grand Forks in the Cabela's parking lot. A shuttle will bring people to the show from area parking sites and help move people back and forth across the river. Here are some of the event attractions:
- Live, free entertainment will be presented in Town Square at the Xcel Energy Main Stage, and in the East Grand Forks Food Court at the HB Sound & Light Stage.
- Children can make crafts at make-n-take tables at the ArtWise Kids Corner, and can enjoy inflatable games and rides.
