The Bismarck anchorman fired after opening his first-ever broadcast with a pair of obscenities will appear on "The Late Show" with David Letterman tonight.

"The Late Show" announced via its Twitter account Tuesday night that it would feature fired reporter A.J. Clemente on its Wednesday night show.

While in New York, Clemente also will be making an appearance on the "Today" show Wednesday morning.

Clemente was put on suspension by employer KFYR-TV following the Sunday broadcast and fired Monday.

Video of Clemente's broadcast immediately began circulating social media sites. Many of his Twitter followers jumped to his defense and called for the station to rehire him.
