The UND Theatre Arts Department is closing its 2018-19 season with "one of the funniest plays around," said Brett Olson, director.
The curtain rises on "Noises Off" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Burtness Theatre on the UND campus.
"Noises Off" presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop of a play called "Nothing's On."
The action is punctuated with doors slamming, on- and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring, all of which figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play, said Olson, an instructor of movement in UND's Theatre Arts Department.
"It's been called the funniest farce ever written," he said.
