The Nashville-based country music duo from North Dakota, Tigirlily, will present a virtual concert via Facebook Live at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, to benefit the Great Plains Food Bank.
The audience can watch the concert on the Tigirlily and Great Plains Food Bank Facebook pages and make donations. The food bank needs support to help people who are struggling with food insecurity during the coronavirus pandemic, said Jared Slinde, communications manager.
During the concert, the sisters, Krista and Kendra Slaubaugh, who are from Hazen, N.D., will take song requests and interact with the public through comments, Slinde said.
The sisters have been singing since they began talking, according to their promotional material, and have been writing songs since they were 10 and 12 years old, penning more than 300 tunes, featuring music that appeals to pop, rock and country music audiences alike.
They debuted their first original album in 2013 and put out a second and third EP in 2014. They have opened for well-known musicians, including The Bellamy Brothers, LeAnn Rimes and Big and Rich.
