Friday at Empire Arts Center: The Empire Arts Center , located at 415 DeMers Ave., Grand Forks, will be hosting "Africa in Our Own Words and Colors," an African arts festival on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The festival includes painting, music, theater, poetry, dance and food. NDMOA Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction
Saturday at North Dakota Museum of Art: The North Dakota Museum of Art, located at 261 Centennial Dr., Grand Forks, will be holding their annual benefit dinner and silent auction on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Tables for eight and valet parking is available. Myra Jazz Festival
Tuesday and Wednesday at Red River Performance Hall: Red River High School will host the Myra Jazz Festival on Tuesday and Wednesday, featuring middle and high school performers from across the area. Trombone player and composer Wycliffe Gordon and tenor sax player Chris Thomson will be working with the students, too.
