The Grand Forks Master Chorale presents "Sacred Music for Sacred Spaces" at 8 tonight at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks.
UND Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities Joshua Bronfman is artistic director of the Master Chorale. Wesley Lawrence, UND instructor of voice, is assistant director, and Bruce Browne, former director of choral activities at Portland State University and of Choral Cross-Ties, will be guest conductor.
The program: "Sicut Cervus," Palestrina; "Gloria a 7," Monteverdi; "Warum Toben," Mendelssohn; "Pater Noster," Verdi; "O Magnum," Mealor; "Mate Saule," Vasks; "O Magnum," Busto; "Battle of Jericho," Hogan.
Master Chorale members are Harmon Abrahamson, Royce Blackburn, Kellie Burgess, Emily Burkland, Amy Dalager, Jacob Denault, Emily Doll, Kyle Entzel, Kathy Fiedler, Turner Fishpaw, Christopher Gable, Shanna Gisvold, Emily Hill, David Holler, Lacey Homuth, Valerie Jensen, Lyndon Johnson, Danielle Larson, Angela Loff, Lexi Lucy, Thomas May, Evan Montgomery, Michael Muenchow, Ryan Olien, Elisa Olson, Sara Otteman-Bray, Mary Salveson, Kayla Skjervheim and Nolan Weisz.
