FARGO — A Minot, N.D., high school senior who previously lived in Fargo and Horace, N.D., will soon get the opportunity to show her talent to a large audience.

Chloe Marie Watterud will participate Oct. 17 in the filming of a national Prairie Public Television Celebration of Music concert series in San Bernardino, Calif. The Celebration of Music series is hosted by internationally recognized pianist Ethan Bortnick, who was recognized by the Guinness World Records at the age of 9 for being "The World's Youngest Solo Musician to Headline His Own Concert Tour."

Watterud earned this opportunity Sept. 23, 2018, when she was crowned the North Dakota winner during Bortnick's North Dakota Celebration of Music concert in Bismarck.

This national concert series is a collection of performances by winners of the Celebration of Music contests held across the nation the past several months for musicians and singers ages 4-25. Watterud is 18 years old and a senior at Minot High School Magic City Campus.

Watterud currently has eight original songs on iTunes and other music streaming services under the artist name Chloe Marie and has performed at several North Dakota events.
