Dear Shirley,
After my story about going viral was on CBS' "Sunday Morning," the Twitters and email messages came rolling in.
I hope you watched the CBS show on your television in Tucson! Here's what some of my messages said:
• I found your reviews of Olive Garden and Applebee's via Gothamist. I must confess that as a proud resident of NYC I would do anything to avoid setting foot in either one, but I thoroughly enjoyed your reviews of both. This is one of the reasons I love the Internet: It bubbles up talent that would otherwise be unknown. I hope you come back to our fair city soon and keep up the great work. -- Sean Robertson
• Mrs. Hagerty, I am a 54-year-old working mother in Atlanta who just watched the CBS "Sunday Morning" special featuring your restaurant reviews. Having grown up on a barrier island just east of Savannah, Ga., I can certainly relate to your approach and appreciate your willingness to find something positive in each experience. -- Alain Robinson, Atlanta.

• I loved the story on "Sunday Morning." I had a chance to visit Grand Forks in December 2012. It was my son's graduation, and I just loved your city. The story reminded me how I felt when I was visiting. A very nice place to live. -- Nancy Acorn, Riverside, Calif.
• I just saw your story on "Sunday Morning." I looked at your reviews online and wish we had someone like you here in Cedar Rapids. -- Gary from Iowa.
• You just made my day and made me even more proud to be a Grand Forks native. My memories of Grand Forks are dear to my heart, so thank you for what you do and please keep on doing it. You represent us all -- down to earth, honest stoic. Just really good people. -- Susan Jarrett, Gurnee, Ill.
• Bravo! It's so refreshing to see someone speak on something that doesn't involve vitriolic commentary. Keep it up! And may you find wonderful dishes. God bless. -- Diane Adams, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
• Your interview with CBS "Sunday Morning" was very fascinating. I just wanted to make sure you knew that Wendy's hamburgers are square because Dave Thomas' grandmother (Minnie Sinclair) told him never to cut corners. It was a lesson he never forgot and used all throughout his life. Thanks for your writing and best wishes throughout the new year. -- Stan McCaa in Louisiana
... Well, there you can see how much fun it has been in the aftermath.
Love from your sister Marilyn drifting through January along the west bank of the Red River of the North.
P.S. Your birthday is coming up Sunday, and I will be thinking of you. A card is on the way. I will not mention your age, only to say that you are two and a half years younger than me and the Queen of England.
