"Exscind," shot near McVille, N.D., was named the Best Horror Movie at the New York City International Film Festival.

The film, directed by Grand Forks-based filmmaker Les Sholes, follows a group of paranormal investigators who visit a site where serial killers committed multiple murders decades ago.
