The budget and salary plan has been presented to council members periodically throughout the past few months with an increased focus on attraction and retention efforts for Grand Forks city workers being reflected in the salary plan.
The Fighting Hawks moved up three spots in the FCS poll and will head on the road for the third time in the first four weeks of the season.
The Fighting Hawks open the season with a home exhibition game against the University of Manitoba on Oct. 1.
Over the summer, the city of Michigan held the Michigan City Beautification Project, where residents could get rebates to paint buildings, install siding and tear down old buildings.
