Emmy-winning artist Liz Callaway of 'Anastasia' movie to perform in Grand Forks

  Broadway performer Liz Callaway, an Emmy Award winner and Tony nominee, will star in the Empire Arts Center's inaugural cabaret, The 1919 Lounge, later this month.
Callaway is known for her starring roles in Baby, Miss Saigon and Cats. She also was the singing voice of Anya in the animated feature film Anastasia. Callaway and musical director Alex Rybeck will share Broadway favorites and songs from her latest CD, The Essential Liz Callaway, according to a news release Wednesday. She will perform at 7:30 p.m. June 23 and 24 at the Empire, 415 DeMers Ave. Ticket prices range from $35 to $65, and there's a $10 minimum purchase for beverages. Brick and Barley of Grand Forks will offer food and beverages. The event will offer limited seating, and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and attendees can make table preferences by calling the Empire box office.
