GRAND FORKS — The Chester Fritz Auditorium will present the Shen Yun Performing Arts company’s show, “China Before Communism,” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24.

The performance will feature one of the world’s oldest art forms, classical Chinese dance, along with innovative multimedia and all-original orchestral works.

The company’s performers present a unique artistic vision that expands the theatrical experience into a multidimensional and deeply moving journey through one of humanity’s greatest treasures, the five millennia of traditional Chinese culture, according to the auditorium website.

“Shen Yun opens a portal to a civilization of profound wisdom and divine beauty,” promoters say. “Prepare for an experience that will take your breath away.”

The Shen Yun Performing Arts company last performed at the Fritz Auditorium in May 2019, said Betty Allan, director of the Fritz Auditorium.
