The annual celebration of beer and bacon revs up Saturday at the Alerus Center. You could say, if you are crazy for bacon, you'll be in "hog heaven."
At the Happy Harry's Beer and Bacon Festival, amid samples of 100 to 150 local and national craft beers, beer-lovers no doubt will be over the moon.
About a dozen area restaurants plan to offer their favorite brimming-with-bacon dishes.
All beer and food samples are included in the price of admission.
A VIP ticket, for $60 in advance or $65 on the day of the event, admits you at 3:30 p.m.

A general admission ticket, $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the event, gets you in at 5 p.m.
The event ends at 8 p.m.
Guests must be at least 21 years old.

This weekend, the UND music department's 33rd annual Honor Band, Choir and Strings Festival will draw more than 400 high school students from throughout North Dakota and Minnesota.
As part of the event, a free concert at 4 p.m. Friday at the Chester Fritz Auditorium will showcase many of UND's vocal and instrumental ensembles.
Preceding the concert, the 1:00 Jazz Ensemble and the Steel Pan Band will perform at 3:45 p.m. in the Fritz lobby.
On Sunday, a UND band, two choirs and a strings group will present a concert at 1:30 p.m. in the Fritz auditorium.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens or $14 for a family of two adults and two children.
The visiting high school musicians, selected by audition to attend the festival, will participate in rehearsals and master classes, as well as perform in concert, said James Popejoy, member of the UND music faculty and event organizer.

A panel of current and former UND faculty members will discuss "Punk in the Trump Era" at 7 p.m. Saturday at Ojata Records store, 305 N. Washington St., Grand Forks.
The scholars, with backgrounds in history, music, archaeology, social work and cultural studies, will hold an open conversation about what, if anything, punk subculture contributes to political discourse today.
The panel, moderated by UND social work professor and Grand Forks City Council member Bret Weber, consists of Bill Caraher, Chris Gable and Brian Schill, all published authors on the topics of punk, politics and North Dakota.
The panel is the opening act for performances by local punk and indie bands, June Panic and the Semaphores and Mistaken Thieves.
Treasure-hunters, collectors and nostalgia buffs should check out the Huge Antiques Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Cities Mall.
