The Alerus Center may be in Grand Forks, but for one night, it was Crazy Town.
Jason Aldean's Night Train Tour rolled into town Saturday night, packing the events center with thousands of screaming fans. Aldean was supported by fellow country artists Thomas Rhett and Jake Owen.
"Crazy Town" was Aldean's first song, and it was greeted enthusiastically by the crowd. The city said earlier in the week that about 14,000 tickets had been sold; an update was not available Saturday.
Aldean's tour is in support of his 2012 album, "Night Train." Its first single, "Take a Little Ride," reached No. 1 on the charts. His previous album, "My Kinda Party," won Album of the Year at the 2011 Country Music Association awards. Other Aldean accolades include nine No. 1 singles and Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 Academy of Country Music awards.
Several hardcore Aldean fans were in attendance, but most were people were drawn by the three performers' broad musical range.

Genna Berg drove to the Alerus Center from Williston, N.D., with her husband. Aldean wasn't her main attraction.
"It was just nice to get out of the house for a while," she said. "I'm a fan of all country, so this is fun."
Jason Piesik came to see Aldean and Owen, and he scored some brownie points with his wife.
"I got her the tickets for her birthday," said Piesik, from Minot. "She gets out of the house, I get to go to the concert. We're both happy."
