A follow for a follow, that’s my motto. Well, not really. But, if it was, the free app Followers + For Instagram might be my new favorite.
The app connects to the user’s Instagram account and tracks his followers. Never will someone trick users into giving them unreciprocated follows again. Followers + shows its users how many Instagram followers they’ve lost or gained since downloading the app. It also indicates which followers the user isn’t following back and which fellow Instagrammers aren’t following them back.
Users can then easily follow or unfollow those users right in the app.

The + in the name is for the additional statistics the app provides such as how many photos the users posts per week and how many likes she receives per photo. The app provides some insight into the user’s Instagram use, but it doesn’t take long to learn the strict limitations of this app. Followers + For Instagram asks its users to connect to their Facebook and Twitter accounts, but a paid add-on is required to view the stats from those additional social networks.
If you’re gung-ho about the follow for a follow mantra, I’d say this app can help you make sure your connections hold up their end of the bargain. But, if you’re looking for more in-depth stats on your social media usage, I’d keep looking.
