Four out of five stars.

Getting to or maintaining your ideal weight can be tough for virtually everyone.

“Lose It!” is an app developed to try and solve those problems. The simple, comprehensive weight loss program allows users to set a daily calorie budget and track their food and exercise.

The app starts by having the user set a goal of their ideal weight. From there, “Lose It!” tells you exactly how many calories to intake in order to reach that weight.

Daily, the app has you to enter each individual meal you consume, including meals you make at home and ones you buy from restaurants programmed into the app. Along with that, you can track the calories you lose by exercising and through other physical activities.

The app then gives you a bank of calories and tracks them throughout the week, pushing you to reach your ideal weight and not surpass your allotted calories.

I like the app’s layout and it is extremely easy to use and navigate. Within minutes you can add that juicy cheeseburger you shouldn’t have eaten or that long run that you just finished.

In a lot of ways, the app is eye-opening about how many calories are in certain items and how those can quickly add up if you’re not careful. By having a target amount of calories, in my experience, the app deters you from overindulging.

“Lose It!” has an impressive number of foods and restaurants loaded into it. Essentially every food you can imagine is included in the app along with its nutritional information.

Overall, “Lose It!” is a great app for anyone looking to shed a few pounds or maintain their current weight.

The app is available for free in the Android and Apple app stores.
