Three out of five stars.

Frontback is a new photo app for the creative and expressive people out there. The free app allows users to take a photo with the front camera, another with the rear-facing camera, and share the combined image on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The images are essentially a photo plus a selfie, which almost acts as a caption. Frontback is a great way to include the photographer in the image, or share your reaction to beautiful scenery. The combined images allow viewers to put themselves in their friends' shoes.

When you open the app, you'll quickly realize that the platform is simple and extremely minimal. You can scroll through the feed and see all of the most recent uploads and "like" them by tapping the heart in the middle.

But Frontback is not a social media app. There aren't profiles, so users can't comment or follow others. The app is highly dependent on its social media sharing sites. Users can tag their Facebook friends within the app though, which makes sharing even better.

If you're looking for a new medium to explore and get creative with -- or just excuse to take yet another selfie -- Frontback is definitely worth a download.
