FARGO — Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Sure, you may think this "holiday" is a ploy to sell greeting cards and, while you're not wrong, it's hard to ignore lovey-dovey, happy couples making their dinner or weekend plans to celebrate the day of love... While you're single as a Pringle.

In a recent report, personal finance website WalletHub said North Dakota was among the five worst states for singles to find love.
To figure out the best (and worst) states to find love, the folks at WalletHub compared the states across nearly 30 indicators of dating-friendly environments and three "key dimensions," including dating economics, dating opportunities and romance and fun.
North Dakota ranked 48th of 50 in this list, with the report finding the 701 to have the lowest gender balance of singles and fewest restaurants per capita.
Minnesota, on the other hand, scored in the top 20 of states, coming in at No. 16. Minnesota also had the third highest median annual household income, according to the report.
