President Jon Wolfgram called the regular meeting of the Thompson Public School Board of Directors to order at 6:32 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Deb Kolling, Timothy Myron, Nick West, Brian Willis, and Jon Wolfgram were in attendance establishing a quorum. Others present: John Maus, Superintendent; Jason Schwabe, Secondary Principal; Dave Wheeler, Elementary Principal; and LuAnn Kysilka, Business Manager.
Moved, seconded, approve the agenda. MC
Moved, seconded, accept the August 13, 2019 minutes. MC.
Board meeting evaluation reviewed.
Moved, seconded, approve payment of bills of $301,578.40. MC.
General, bus, activity, hot lunch reports were presented.
Superintendent, Secondary Principal/AD, Elementary Principal reports were reviewed.
Finance Committee: reviewed 2019/2020 budget and tax meeting handout, transportation purchases, discussed summer projects, purchases, completion of camera system, new features, and football scoreboard was completed by first football game.
No correspondence.
Long range facility plan reviewed.
Moved, seconded, approve first reading Bullying Policy revision. MC.
Nick West moved, Timothy Myron seconded to approve and Annual Compliance Report. Assuming a roll call vote, the motion passed unanimously
Moved, seconded, recommend Steve Swiontek for position of Grand Forks County Superintendent of Schools. MC.
Information for annual tax meeting was available. No patrons present.
Moved, seconded, approve the 3 open enrollments from Grand Forks Public School to Thompson Public School. MC.
School board retreat at Choice Financial, Grand Forks, Sunday, September 22, 2019, 7:00 pm.
Next school board meeting Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 6:30 am in school library.
