NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR HEARING
April 1, 2020
On March 2, 2020, Otter Tail Power Company (OTP) filed a change in its Generation Resource Cost Recovery (GRCR) tariff and an initial GRCR rate to recover actual and forecasted costs through June 2021 for the Astoria Station Natural Gas Plant project (Astoria Station). OTP proposes to recover approximately $6,184,184 during the recovery period of July 1, 2020 through June 2021.
The impact of the rate change on the bill for a residential customer using 1,000 kWh per month is approximately $2.70 per month.
The issues to consider in this proceeding are:
1. Are the proposed tariff revisions just and reasonable?
2. Do the proposed rates comply with the tariff?
3. Are the proposed rates just and reasonable?
Those interested are invited to comment on the application in writing. Persons desiring a hearing must file a written request identifying their interest in the proceeding and the reasons for requesting a hearing. Comments and requests for hearing must be received by May 11, 2020. If deemed appropriate, the Commission can determine the matter without a hearing.
