NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR CONSOLIDATED HEARING
June 10, 2020
On April 24, 2020, Northern States Power Company filed an application requesting authorization for deferred accounting for electric service (Case No. PU-20-192) and natural gas service (Case No. PU-20-220) to track financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Approval would allow the utility to track and defer these financial impacts as a regulatory asset and affords the possible recovery in future utility rates.
The issue to be considered in these proceedings is whether the Commission should grant deferred accounting treatment for the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic?
Those interested are invited to comment on the application in writing. Persons desiring a hearing must file a written request identifying their interest in the proceeding and the reasons for requesting a hearing. Comments and requests for hearing must be received by July 11, 2020. If deemed appropriate, the Commission can determine the matter without a hearing.
