NOTICE OF CONSOLIDATED PUBLIC HEARING
May 5, 2021
A consolidated Public Hearing on the applications in Case No. PU-20-425 and Case No. PU-21-93 is scheduled to begin September 30, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. CDT in the Commission Hearing Room on the 12th Floor of the State Capitol, 600 East Boulevard Ave, Bismarck, North Dakota 58505.
On October 13, 2020, in Case No. PU-20-425, Northern States Power Company (NSP) filed an application for an advanced determination of prudence (ADP) for the repowering of four NSP-owned wind projects that have a combined existing total generating capability of 650 MW.
On March 3, 2021, in Case No. PU-21-93, NSP filed an application for an ADP for the acquisition of a 120 MW repowered wind facility in Murray County, Minnesota.
On May 5, 2021, the Commission consolidated Case No. PU-20-425 and Case No. PU-21-93 for Hearing.
The issue to be considered in both matters is whether NSP should be granted an advanced determination that its proposed resource addition is prudent.
