Sealed bids for City Project #8088, construction of the Alerus Center - "C" - Riser Replacement Seating at the Alerus Center, located at 1200 S. 42nd Street, Grand Forks, North Dakota, will be received on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 until 2:00 p.m. local time by the Director of Finance & Administrative Services in City Hall, 255 N. 4th St., in the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
The project is identified in all correspondence as the Architects (EAPC) Project 20193460.
The work will be bid as a Base Bid. The scope of work generally consists of the following:
1.)Removal and replacement of 8 sets of moveable telescoping seating sections at the south end of the arena.
Bids will be single prime lump sum for all work. Bids will consist of a Base Bid.
All Work is to be in accordance with the Bidding Documents which are on file in the office of the City Engineer, Grand Forks, North Dakota and at the office of the Architect, EAPC, 3100 DeMers Avenue, Grand Forks, North Dakota, reference to which is made for detailed description of the work.
Refer to Specification 00 1000 for instructions for submitting the bid. Please note the requirements for 5.0% Bid Bond, special City of Grand Forks bonds, and for a City contractor's license.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Grand Forks.
The successful bidder shall warrant and guarantee work for two years and shall furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract. Bonds shall remain in effect until two years after date of final payment.
Within seven (7) days after effective date of Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall submit to OWNER a written notice indicating the specific date that CONTRACTOR will begin construction. The entire on-site portion of the project shall be substantially completed no later than July 1, 2020. Close-out documentation and final pay applications to be completed within 30 days of substantial completion.

PREBID MEETING. There will be a mandatory meeting of prospective bidders at 10:00 AM CST, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Administrative office of the Alerus Center. A walk-through of the facility will be held and all those with questions for the Owner and A/E are invited to attend.
