Request for Qualifications Architectural Services Center for Exploration - Grand Forks, ND Background The Center for Exploration will serve as a children’s museum that will provide interactive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) learning activities for people of all ages and abilities. Scope of Services Grand Forks Children’s Museum, Inc. is seeking the services of an architect for planning and design for the new Center for Exploration. General Project Information The Center for Exploration will be a regional destination, drawing visitors from across the Midwest and Canada. As such, the Center for Exploration must be a showcase for the city of Grand Forks, and its design is paramount to that end. The Center for Exploration will have a mixture of permanent and rotating exhibits and will be constructed in parallel with a destination playground being designed by a separate design team.
