NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS AND AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS The City of Grand Forks is providing notice of availability of funds and public hearings on the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The City receives CDBG funds through the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), and anticipates making $2,350,000 available for capital improvements to the Grand Forks Senior Center. This project meets the HUD national objective of benefiting low- and moderate-income persons. The City is also accepting applications for its 2023 Community Services Grants (CSG) program. The City has made $150,000 available to agencies that offer programs and services that most effectively serve the needs of Grand Forks’ low-income residents. The online application and information/ instructions can be found on the City’s Community Development Portal at An applicant workshop will be held via Zoom at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022; attendance is recommended, especially for new applicants. The deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. on December 30, 2022. The Community Advisory Committee will review and rank applications, and hold a public hearing to accept comments on the City’s performance in administering HUD programs and proposed projects, on January 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in City Hall Room A102, 255 N. 4th Street.
