Melanie Heitkamp, Youthworks Executive Director, addressed the board.
Moved by Falck, seconded by Rost, to approve, with the Chair's signature, a service agreement with Youthworks to provide the DIVERT Program for $12,833 from March 1, 2021 thru December 31, 2021. Motion carried unanimously.
Tom Ford, Director of Administration, addressed the board.
Todd Blixt, ICON Architectural Group, addressed the board regarding the County Office Building/Courthouse Safety Project bid results. He said four bids were received for the project, three were general contract bids and one was a combined general/mechanical/electrical (prime) bid.
Haley Wamstad, State's Attorney, explained the four different actions that the board could take regarding the bids. She said because the lowest responsible general contract bidder did not include the mechanical and electrical portions of the bid, the Commission could negotiate a contract with the bidder for the other two portions. Another option would be for the board to accept the only prime bid received. The third option would be to rebid the electrical and mechanical portions individually. The final option for the board would be to reject all bids and rebid the project as a whole.
After considering the presented options, the board decided not to accept any bids at this time and negotiate with the lowest responsible general contract bidder and bring back for further consideration at the March 2, 2021 Commission Meeting.
Moved by Rost, seconded by Knauf, to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 2:22pm.
