Journalist Joe Bowen reports that the East Grand Forks City Council members chuckled on Tuesday, Aug. 11, when Jason Stordahl, the city’s public works director, said a stretch of 20th Street Northwest between Fifth and Eighth avenues northwest “isn’t in the best condition.” Yet, the financial challenges posed with any fixes have left the council in a quandary.
Reporter Hannah Shirley talked with Tasha Rasmussen, an inmate at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Aug. 7. On Friday morning, the other women who recently shared a unit with her tensely waited for their own test results -- which came in negative.
