Community editor Sydney Mook looks at how interim UND President Joshua Wynne has spent his time as the top leader at UND. During his year as president, the university has worked its way through rampant turmoil, starting with the controversial exit of the previous president and ending with the historic disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Reporters Joe Bowen and Sam Easter collaborate as they peel back a layer or two of the Grand Forks mayor’s race, which is more than nice speeches and yard signs. Some obvious Democrats are backing the most conservative candidate, some notable city fathers are moving away from longtime the mayor and a candidate has apologized for her husband’s role in spreading false information about another.

Finally, journalist Brad Schlossman will delve into some history of greater Grand Forks, which has seen at least three police officers die in the line of duty in the past century. He will work to reveal the circumstances of those deaths.
