Herald reporter Hannah Shirley will be attending the initial court appearance at 9 a.m. Tuesday for Samantha Wilson, who was arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy. The name of the victim, which has not been released, is uppermost in the minds of many and the incident, which occurred Sunday night in Northwood, has shaken the town, according to one resident.

As North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum prepares to deliver his State of the State address on Wednesday, Jan. 29, on the UND campus, journalist Sydney Mook will have the details on where to go, parking tips and how to access a live feed of the event.

Though winter has not released its grip on Grand Forks, city leaders will be hosting the first of 2020’s spring flood meetings at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
